Baked Sweet Potatoes

Things You’ll Need:

  • Yams
  • Aluminum
  • Foil
  • Oven

Scrub but don’t peel the yams before baking. Pierce the skin of each yam in a few different places with a knife or fork.

Heat the oven at 375-degree Fahrenheit (there is no need to preheat) and place the yams directly onto the center oven rack. Then cover the next lowest rack with aluminum foil to catch the yam’s syrup, which will begin to drip during baking.

Let the yams bake for approximately 1 1/2 hours or until they are soft and are dripping with syrup. Once they are done, allow the yams to cool for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.

Tip…economize your electricity and cook some Tilapia in the last 30 minutes!!
